After she was discovered and outed by “This just in, sometimes women don’t have the best intentions. This summer, she became a serial first-dater in order to check off her Toronto restaurant hit list and blog her reviews. Like one guy who originally planned on dining and dashing on behalf of men everywhere, leaving her stranded with the bill. She also wrote in the past the meals weren't always worth her time.
She explained: 'It was an easy way to make money quickly, and within the first week I had messages off several men.'Usually men offer £100 to £150 per date, and they will also cover travel expenses and pay for the bill at the restaurant.'The people I date all tend to be wealthy business men in their fifties, a lot of them are directors or CEOs of big companies.'Usually they are just looking for company whilst they travel and some are even looking to meet up around three times a week.'I had been on around seven dates in total when one guy I met suggested a long-term proposal, we ended up seeing each other over a 10 month period.'He lived a couple of hours away from me but he visited his son quite often who only lived five minutes down the road.'Each time we met he gave me £150 and if I ever needed money whilst he was away he would transfer me £200.'As well as paying for private medical treatment, Rose has been able to save her spare cash and now has more than £4,000 in her savings account. We decided to do something about it,” Goldstein says.In 2012, the Natural Resources Defense Council, a national environmental group headquartered in New York, approached Goldstein with a proposal to work together to improve school food, figuring that doing so would directly improve the health of some of the most disadvantaged kids in the city. But Rose insists that there is no pressure to have a sexual relationship with her dining companions - as she does nothing more than chat with the men for dinner.Rose said: 'So far the money I have earned from dating has paid for my car insurance, designer shoes and handbags and the rest I have put away into my savings.'These days it's so hard to save a big enough deposit to be able to get onto the property ladder and so this has been the perfect solution for me.'It's unbelievable, I joined around a year ago and I have already made more than £8,000.'The first date I went on I was offered £100, we went to a restaurant in Solihull for dinner and a few hours later we went our separate ways.'Rose insists she is honest with her family and friends, who are 'really supportive' of her money-making venture - but she also takes precautions to make sure she's safe.
